Creative collision
Studio Sitges was the venue for Lomography’s latest stop on their creative journey. This photographic flash mob took over Sitges. It was great meeting you guys at Studio Sitges – you’re welcome back anytime.
Quite a compliment
Everyone knows that Studio Sitges is at the very top. Here’s more proof. The people who make the most advanced gear in the business came to us for the facilities they wanted when they shot their own publicity. Phase One are the leaders when it comes to professional digital camera systems. Their new IQ range of digital backs is simply the best there is.
We handled all aspects of the production management for this project. One of the reasons it worked so well was that we could host the whole Phase One family in our 5 en-suite bedrooms. That way everyone could live and breathe the assignment through to completion.
The IQ range was first used here in Studio Sitges in January ‘11. Listen here to 3 major photographers talk about their impressions.
Sound stage
Heavy metal band Accept showed up at Studio Sitges to shoot the promo video for their new album “Blood of the Nations”.
Studio Sitges is now the go-to venue for a whole range of photo projects. With Accept we handled the whole deal right through production management and post-production. Big jobs are what we do. So we developed the concept and drew up the story-boards. We hand-picked the crew and mapped out the seven camera set-up. Our stuntman used the Studio Sitges mascot car – the Black Beast.
It all came together perfectly and we had a ball while we were at it.

Happy Xmas everyone
Studio Sitges sparkles all year round. Come visit us in the New Year.
Our debut
Studio Sitges showed just how versatile it is when we shot two contrasting sessions at the same time. An editorial with American Apparel took place in Studio A. At the same time, in Studio B Barcelona's Hells Angels showed us how tough they can be in an epic session of pictures for their club house walls.
Everybody, but everybody, showed up. Production companies, model agencies and other photographers all wanted to see what's on offer. Studio Sitges is open for business in a big way.
Road test
Now Studio Sitges is built, it’s time to see that it works. To check this out we invited the internationally renowned Kenneth Linge to host a workshop for 14 Norwegian photographers. Day one was a fashion shoot in the Studio. The next day took in some outdoor venues as well as locations around Barcelona before coming back to Studio Sitges. The verdict is in. “ It’s superb”.
Thanks, guys!
Everyone worked so hard on the Studio Sitges project that we had to finish off this stage in style. We came up with the idea of a Mexican party and it really rocked from the very start. First we needed to let everyone know about it. No problem - everyone wanted in. The guys on the site posed for the Mexican wrestling style poster and it took off from there. The food, the drink and, best of all, the company were a great climax to the time spent working together at Studio Sitges.
It's taking shape.
Building Studio Sitges is more than just a complex technical task. It's also a fantastic creative achievement. We are putting together the ideas of a group of photographers and all kinds of other experts. The question we asked them was “What would be your ideal studio?” This is their answer. Now it is up to the craftsmen to use their skills to make it a reality. It is hard work for everyone to get it completely right but it is well worth it. Every day at Studio Sitges is more progress and another problem solved. That’s the way we are going to keep on.
